Many Lebanese are counting on the upcoming parliamentary elections to change the political system. It is noteworthy that the ruling class is also counting on elections to renew its political staff and its lost legitimacy. It did it in the 2018 elections when the parliament included 64 deputies elected for the first time (out of 128). And it will do it again in 2022.
