“Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development is a non-governmental organization, established in 2005, to strengthening the human rights values among Palestinian society, and to create an environment that embraces the rights of marginalized groups, especially women, youth and people with disabilities.

In 2019, Witness Center created fact-checking platform: “the Palestinian Observatory for Fact-checking and Media Literacy – Kashif”- an online platform specialized in debunking false information published among media outlets and public accounts on social media, with a goal of strengthening the citizens’ participation in public life through access to reliable and accurate information, and empowering Palestinian youth to critically analyze the accuracy and credibility of content.”
