WAR BETWEEN MEMORY AND IMAGINATION — Unless political actors in Lebanon and the region work urgently to contain conflicts, there is a risk of descending back into sectarian and localized violence. This would mean a fusion of memory and fantasy, where the past’s brutal cycles merge with a dark vision of an unending colonial conflict—a “war without borders.”
