On the morning of Saturday, October 7, 2023, as war erupted in Gaza, Ahmed Sharaf, a paramedic in his forties, rushed to his work as usual. He never imagined that this day would change his life forever. Since that fateful morning, Ahmed has not taken a single day off, nor has he had a moment of rest.

Ahmed, a father of three, has been forced to flee with his family multiple times during the war—from northern Gaza to the central region, and then to safer areas. Yet, he has returned to his work every time, rescuing the wounded, retrieving victims, and bringing hope to shattered hearts. “My job isn’t just work,” Ahmed says. “It’s a sacred duty. I’m here to save lives, even if it costs me my own.”

Each day brings unforgettable moments, but the hardest was when Ahmed had to rescue two children from under the rubble, knowing that his own house had been destroyed and his family displaced yet again. Despite it all, Ahmed smiles and says, “My work keeps me going. Every life I save is a small victory over death.

After the Israeli occupation demolished their home, Fadl Al-Hamameh and his family sought refuge in an underground cave on their land in southern Gaza. Despite the destruction and ongoing bombardment, Fadl refused to leave his land, declaring, “This land is our identity. If we leave it, we lose everything.”

In the cave, the Al-Hamameh family carries on with their daily life in the simplest way possible. Meals are prepared on makeshift stoves, and water is drawn from nearby wells. “We try to live as normally as we can,” Fadl says, “but staying on this land is our message to the generations to come.”

After the Israeli occupation demolished their home, Fadl Al-Hamameh and his family sought refuge in an underground cave on their land in southern Gaza. جمال ابو صبيحة يتحدى الاغلاقات الاسرائيلية ويتحول لصاحب مشروع زراعة التوت، حيث إستطاع المواطن جمال أبو صبيحة أن يُنشئ مزرعته الخاصة بالفراولة بعد خبرة طويلة إكتسبها من عمله داخل أراضي مدينة قلنسوة بأراضي فلسطين المحتلة عام 48 ، خاصة مع أغلاق الحواجز والمعابر مع اسرائيل وعدم تمكن العمال الفلسطينين من الدخول الى أماكن عملهم بالداخل المحتل .، كما واستطاع أن يُوسع عمله ويوفر فرص عمل ل5 عمال أخرين توقفوا عن العمل بسبب إغلاق الحواجز والمعابر ومنعهم من الوصول الى الداخل المحتل وبذلك إستطاع إعانة آخرين على مواجهة الحياة الإقتصادية الصعبة في ظل ما تشهده الأراضي الفلسطينية والمواطنين من حرب إبادة إسرائيلية صعبت مناحي الحياة.
