The Qarib program organized a special evening at its office in Amman, the capital of Jordan, dedicated to showcasing journalistic work focused on climate storytelling and environmental journalism in the region. The event was held as part of the Environment and Climate Month organized by the French Embassy.
The event featured articles, videos, and podcasts produced by partners of the Qarib program, one of CFI’s projects aimed at strengthening social cohesion through media support. This work contributes to the dissemination of verified and reliable information on climate change issues in the Middle East.
The evening was attended by journalists and experts, along with the Qarib team. The event also welcomed Ms. Emmanuelle Talon, CEO of CFI, and Mr. Yves Guicquéro, Regional Director for the Middle East at the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), as well as Mr. Henrik Ahrens, Head of the Levant Desk at CFI and Director of the regional Qarib Programme. Attendees expressed their support for advancing impactful climate storytelling in the region.
