Qarib celebrates International Youth Day with a record-breaking campaign
This August, the Qarib program marked International Youth Day with a regional campaign that placed young journalists at the center of the conversation.
Over the course of two weeks, Qarib shared 13 videos that combined personal testimonies, youthful reflections, and practical tips from seasoned professionals. The campaign reached more than 6 million views, generated hundreds of interactions, and attracted new followers who saw their own realities mirrored in these authentic voices.
Among the most powerful contributions was that of Ghazi Alaloul, a journalist with Roya Palestine, who recorded his message from Gaza. Despite the harsh circumstances on the ground, he chose to address his peers with encouragement and practical advice—an expression of resilience that quickly became one of the campaign’s top-performing videos.
This campaign stands as Qarib’s most successful to date, reaffirming our mission to amplify marginalized voices, support journalists in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, and strengthen the role of media as a driver of hope and change.
